Maya Kakaw Travel in a strategic alliance with Travesía GT, during the month of December opened the opportunity for students of the Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy, to practice their tourism.
The activity was oriented to the development of new opportunities for tourism, in this case, knowledge was strengthened for the development of a story board for a television commercial, marketing campaign for new market niches, driving techniques and environmental and cultural interpretation; in addition, theory was put into practice when developing cultural and nature tours and students were challenged to create innovative tours for the same region, resulting in wedding tours, fifteen year old scientific tours, reforestation, among others. For Maya Kakaw Travel, this was an opportunity to share its knowledge with the academy, since tourism, hotel and gastronomy professionals face difficulties in finding job opportunities in the traditional markets where tourism activity has been focused, both from the state and the academy's point of view, seeking innovation or the implementation of segments that have been successful in other latitudes.
Maya Kakaw Travel takes a step forward with this type of action, since it is the first tour operator company that allows a group of 15 people to do professional practices, receiving fresh ideas that can be put into practice, but it was not only in one sense, but provided the students with tools to improve their technical skills, doing tours of traditional segments and entering new segments, seeking innovation but with a view to meeting the objectives of sustainable development.
A spectacular visit
