Description: Tour of Chichicastenango

Considered the most colorful, multiethnic, multilingual and multicultural indigenous market in the central Mayan highlands of Guatemala, 100 kms from Antigua Guatemala and 32 kms from Lake Atitlán, accessed by the Interamerican Highway, it is located at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level, with a pleasant climate in the mornings and nights and warm at midday.

The market is formed only twice a week: Thursday and Sunday. You can visit it from Antigua Guatemala and Guatemala City in one day.

It is usual to move to Lake Atitlán after the market or, after having visited Lake Atitlán

Maya Kakaw Travel works with a policy of inclusion by hiring local Maya guides and providing spaces for participation for our native peoples.
